Each VL305 is crafted from carefully selected tonewoods, including a carved spruce top and a highly flamed maple back, ribs, and scroll. A hand-applied shaded spirit varnish enhances the natural figure of the wood and gives each violin its own individual character.

Built on a traditional Stradivari pattern, the VL305 offers an even, well-rounded tonal response with clarity, warmth, and dependable projection. Its responsive character allows the instrument to speak readily under the bow, helping the player develop greater control of articulation, dynamics, phrasing, and tonal color.

Traditional appointments include genuine hand-inlaid purfling, an ebony fingerboard, hand-carved ebony pegs, tailpiece, and chinrest, along with a Despiau 1 Tree bridge. Each violin is also equipped with a Wittner fine tuner for smooth, accurate, and dependable adjustment of the E string.

The VL305 is strung with a complete set of Thomastik-Infeld Dominant violin strings. Dominant strings are trusted by teachers, advancing students, and professional musicians for their warm, balanced tone, flexible response, and ability to complement a wide variety of instruments.
