The Andreas Eastman VL200 Stradivari Violin is a fully handcrafted step-up instrument designed for advancing students and musicians seeking greater warmth, responsiveness, and tonal refinement than a basic student violin can provide.
Each VL200 is constructed from well-seasoned, select tonewoods, including a carved spruce top and carved maple back and ribs. Its shaded spirit varnish enhances the natural beauty of the wood while giving the violin a warm, traditional appearance.
Built on a classic Stradivari pattern, the VL200 offers a balanced and responsive playing experience with a clear, focused voice. Its combination of warmth, projection, and dependable response makes it well suited for private lessons, school and youth orchestras, auditions, chamber ensembles, and recreational playing.
Traditional appointments include genuine hand-inlaid purfling, an ebony fingerboard, boxwood pegs, tailpiece, and chinrest, along with a Despiau 1 Tree bridge. These carefully selected components complement the instrument’s craftsmanship, appearance, and tonal potential.
The VL200 comes strung with Thomastik-Infeld Dominant violin strings, one of the most widely trusted string sets among advancing students, teachers, and professional musicians. Dominant strings are known for their warm, balanced tone, reliable response, tonal flexibility, and ability to complement a broad range of instruments.
Available in sizes from 1/16 through 4/4, the VL200 allows young musicians to experience the craftsmanship and tonal qualities of the same respected Eastman model as they grow.

Finding the Correct Violin Size
Choosing the correct violin size is essential for comfortable playing and proper technique. The appropriate size depends primarily on the player’s arm length, hand size, and physical comfort rather than age alone.
A properly sized violin should allow the player to reach the scroll comfortably while maintaining a relaxed shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand position. Atelier’s string specialists are available to help determine the correct size before purchase.
