1. Payment Terms
- All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified.
- Payment is required at the time of purchase for instruments, bows, accessories, and services.
- For custom orders and repairs, a 50% deposit may be required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
- Accepted payment methods include:
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
- Checks (in-store only, subject to clearance)
- Cash (in-store only)

2. Pricing
- All prices are subject to change without notice.
- Quotes for repairs, custom work, and appraisals are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
- Sales tax is applied according to applicable state and local regulations.
3. Instrument Purchases and Returns
Condition Requirements
All instruments, bows, and cases must be returned in new condition, with no signs of use, damage, or wear (including dents, scratches, or dirt).
Return Components
The full outfit—including the instrument, bow, case, and rosin—must be returned. Missing or damaged components may incur additional charges.

4. Accessories
Accessory Returns
- Accessories must be unused and in original condition.
- Original packaging is required.
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase.
Refund Process
- To initiate a refund, contact atelierstringshop@gmail.com or visit the purchase location.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after return receipt.
5. Repairs and Appraisals
Repair Services
- Repair costs are due in full upon completion.
- A deposit may be required for extensive repairs.
- Final costs depend on labor and materials required.
Appraisals
- Written Appraisals: $275.00 – includes detailed evaluation, provenance, market value, and official documentation.
- Verbal Appraisals: $100.00 – professional assessment of condition and value.
6. Refunds and Exchanges
- Instruments and bows are non-refundable.
- Instruments or bows may be exchanged for 100% of the purchase price toward the next size or quality level if returned in very good condition.
- Unused accessories may be refunded within 30 days with original packaging.
- Completed repairs and appraisals are non-refundable.
7. Shipping and Handling
- Shipping and handling charges are additional unless stated otherwise.
- Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon shipment.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
- In-stock orders received by 3:00 PM EST typically ship the same day. Larger items may take up to 3 business days. Shipments are sent via USPS or FedEx Ground (Monday–Friday).
8. Privacy and Security
- Payment information is processed securely through approved payment processors.
- Financial data is not stored on our servers.
- Customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
9. Modifications to Terms
- Atelier reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without notice.
- Updated terms will be posted on our website.
10. Disputes and Chargebacks
- Billing disputes should be reported immediately by calling 203.661.9500 and asking for “billing.”
- Unauthorized chargebacks may result in service suspension and additional fees.
