Each Model 530 features a fully hand-carved, highly figured AAA-grade seasoned spruce top, paired with beautifully flamed curly maple back and ribs that have been naturally dried for 4–5 years. The instrument is finished in a professional hand-applied spirit and oil-mixed varnish with light antiquing and defined edge shading, giving it the warmth and character of a mature violin while maintaining durability for regular student and performance use.
Professionally Set Up by Atelier
This violin is individually inspected, adjusted and play-tested by Atelier for Fine Stringed Instruments before shipment. In our Norwalk and Greenwich, CT workshops, our luthiers check and adjust the bridge, nut and string height, pegs, soundpost, fingerboard and fittings, then tune and play-test the instrument, so it arrives ready for lessons rather than for a repair shop. Looks like a piece of art (and I know nothing about violins). Her teacher played it for a good stretch before and after the lesson and was genuinely impressed with how it felt and sounded.
