Built with a carved spruce top and a graduated laminated AA-grade figured maple back, it offers the tonal freedom of a carved instrument with the durability and stability needed for everyday use. Ebony fittings—including fingerboard and pegs—ensure smooth tuning and long-term reliability, while a Wittner tailpiece with four integrated fine tuners allows for precise adjustments. A 19.5" steel rod endpin with composite plug offers stability, and the instrument is professionally strung with D’Addario Prelude strings for a clear, focused tone.

Each outfit includes a carbon composite bow and an embroidered 10mm padded bag, making it ready for immediate use. Before leaving our shop, every Canzona Sonata cello is carefully inspected and professionally set up by the expert luthiers at Atelier for Fine Stringed Instruments; the bridge and soundpost are properly fitted, pegs and fingerboard are checked for smooth playability, and each instrument is tuned and play-tested to ensure a comfortable response and dependable tone from day one.
