The Canzona Caprice Model 300 cello is one of the most popular instruments in the Canzona lineup, and consistently our best-selling student model, offering a warm, responsive tone with the craftsmanship that developing players need to succeed. Fully hand-carved from seasoned spruce and maple, the Caprice features a carved spruce top and a maple back with medium figure for enhanced resonance, projection, and musical depth. A professionally hand-applied spirit varnish gives the instrument a refined look while standing up to daily use. Ebony fittings—including fingerboard and pegs—provide smooth tuning and durability, while a Wittner tailpiece with four fine tuners allows for precise adjustments. The cello is professionally strung with D’Addario Prelude strings for a clear, focused sound and is fitted with a 19.5" steel rod endpin with composite plug for dependable stability. While the 400 Series Milano is our top student model, the Caprice continues to outsell it thanks to its exceptional balance of tone, craftsmanship, and long-term value.

Each outfit includes a graphite composite bow and an embroidered 10mm padded bag, making it ready for immediate use. Before leaving our shop, every Canzona Caprice cello is carefully inspected and professionally set up by the expert luthiers at Atelier for Fine Stringed Instruments. The bridge and soundpost are properly fitted, pegs and fingerboard are checked for smooth playability, and each instrument is tuned and play-tested to ensure a comfortable response and reliable tone from day one.
