The Canzona Caprice Model 300 cello is one of the most popular instruments in the Canzona lineup, and consistently our best-selling student model, offering a warm, responsive tone with the craftsmanship that developing players need to succeed. Fully hand-carved from seasoned spruce and maple, the Caprice features a carved spruce top and a maple back with medium figure for enhanced resonance, projection, and musical depth. A professionally hand-applied spirit varnish gives the instrument a refined look while standing up to daily use. Ebony fittings—including fingerboard and pegs—provide smooth tuning and durability, while a Wittner tailpiece with four fine tuners allows for precise adjustments. The cello is professionally strung with D’Addario Prelude strings for a clear, focused sound and is fitted with a 19.5" steel rod endpin with composite plug for dependable stability. The Caprice continues to outsell most all other cellos thanks to its exceptional balance of tone, craftsmanship, and long-term value.
