The Canzona Lombardy Violin is crafted for players who value refinement, balance, and a traditional tonal aesthetic. Inspired by classic Cremonese design, the Lombardy offers a focused, elegant sound paired with understated visual sophistication—making it an ideal choice for serious study and continued musical development.

Fully hand-carved from highly figured Grade AA tonewoods, the Lombardy features a seasoned Russian spruce top and flamed curly maple back that have been air-dried for 4–5 years. These carefully selected woods contribute to a responsive, nuanced voice with clarity, warmth, and excellent projection across all registers.

The violin is finished in a professional-quality hand-applied spirit and oil mixed varnish, shaded with a blended color pattern and no antiquing, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to take center stage. The finish supports resonance while delivering a clean, classical appearance.

Outfitted with ebony pegs, an ebony Guarneri-style chinrest, and a tailpiece fitted with a single Wittner fine tuner, the Lombardy is optimized for balance, comfort, and tonal efficiency. A precisely fit Aubert #7 bridge ensures clear articulation and effective energy transfer.

Each Lombardy violin is standardly strung with Thomastik Dominant strings, trusted worldwide for their warmth, flexibility, and expressive range.

Before leaving the shop, every instrument is fully adjusted by our talented Atelier luthiers, including bridge refinement, soundpost adjustment, string optimization, and final play-testing. No factory shortcuts—only careful, experienced setup.
