Thomastik Dominant Viola D String

The Thomastik-Infeld Dominant Viola D String is a trusted choice for violists seeking warmth, clarity, and dependable performance. Its highly flexible, multi-strand Perlon synthetic core delivers the comfortable feel and tonal complexity associated with gut strings while providing greater tuning stability and resistance to changes in temperature and humidity.

The aluminum winding produces a smooth, balanced tone with clear articulation and rich overtones. Responsive under the bow and stable across the instrument’s range, this versatile D string blends naturally with the other strings in the Dominant set.

Ideal as a replacement string or for players who rely on the familiar sound and feel of Dominant strings for practice, rehearsals, and performance.
