Violin, Viola, Cello & Bass Size Charts

Use the charts below to find the usual size for a violin, viola, cello or double bass by age, height or arm measurement. If you'd like a personal recommendation, the free FitFinder tool further down the page gives you a recommended size and fit checklist in a few minutes.

Children grow at different rates, so measurements beat age. When a player falls between two sizes, choose the smaller one.
