The sound
An acoustic voice, ready to plug in
Unplugged, this is a traditional handcrafted violin: a carefully chosen German spruce top over a maple back, ribs and scroll, finished in a hand-applied, multi-layer antiqued spirit varnish. The added fifth string extends the range into the viola register for orchestral, studio, worship and crossover playing.
The Series+ pickup is embedded in the spruce top before varnishing, preserving the instrument’s natural resonance without altering the bridge, and a 3.5 mm jack is hidden in the end button. Plug in with the included cable for a clean, low-profile connection to amplifiers and sound systems.
