The Canzona Caprice Model 300 Viola represents the next level in the Canzona viola lineup, offering a richer, more resonant voice and refined craftsmanship for advancing students. Fully hand-carved from seasoned spruce and flamed curly maple, the Caprice delivers improved projection, warmth, and tonal complexity while maintaining the durability required for school and daily practice use. A professional-quality hand-applied spirit varnish enhances both the beauty and resonance of the instrument, highlighting the figure of the maple and giving the viola a classic, mature appearance. Ebony fittings—including fingerboard, pegs, and chinrest—ensure smooth tuning and long-term reliability, while a Wittner tailpiece with four integrated fine tuners allows for precise, easy adjustments. Each viola is fitted with D’Addario Prelude strings for a warm, dependable tone and consistent response across all registers.

The outfit includes a graphite composite bow and a lightweight case, providing excellent protection and portability for lessons, rehearsals, and performances. Before any Canzona Caprice viola leaves our shop, it is meticulously inspected and professionally set up by the expert luthiers at Atelier for Fine Stringed Instruments. Bridges are carefully shaped and fitted, soundposts are precisely positioned, pegs are adjusted for smooth tuning, and the instrument is tuned, adjusted, and play-tested so it arrives responsive, comfortable, and ready to perform.
