The Canzona 100 Series Allegra Bass is a dependable, student-focused instrument designed to withstand the demands of school programs while delivering clear, usable tone and comfortable playability. Built with durability and consistency in mind, it’s an excellent choice for beginning bassists and educational settings where reliability matters most.

The Allegra Bass features a laminated spruce top and laminated maple back, providing increased resistance to humidity changes and everyday wear—ideal for classrooms, rentals, and frequent transport. Both the front and back plates are hand-graduated to replicate the response and tonal character of a carved instrument, offering improved sound quality over standard laminate construction.

Outfitted with an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, the bass includes two-piece plate-style brass machine heads for smooth, reliable tuning, along with an 18.5" steel rod endpin with a graphite composite plug for stability and durability. Inlaid purfling on the front and back adds a traditional visual touch while reinforcing structural integrity.

Each Allegra Bass is set up with D’Addario Prelude strings, chosen for their durability, stability, and student-friendly feel. A resilient spirit varnish protects the instrument while maintaining an attractive, classic appearance.

The complete outfit includes a French or German–style graphite composite bow and an embroidered No. 1001 padded bass bag, making it ready for immediate use.

As with all Canzona instruments, every Allegra Bass is professionally inspected and adjusted by Atelier technicians to ensure proper setup, comfortable string height, and dependable performance before it leaves the shop.
